Abstract
In order to study effect of loosing and conditioning process on the flue-cured tobacco leaf, the sensor characteristics of flue-cured tobacco leaf were compared between untreated and treated by loosing and conditioning process with different processing intensity which was set in the range of the equipment performance. The results showed that the loosing and conditioning process could change flue-cured tobacco leaf aroma style. With the processing intensity increased, the proportion of flue-cured tobacco sample which aroma style changed increased. The loosing and conditioning process has a great effect on the aroma quality, offensive taste, smoke smoothy, irritation and cleanness, and has a little effect on the smoke concentration, strength, dryness and volume of aroma. In the appropriate range of processing intensity, the loosing and conditioning process can significantly improve quality of aroma, smoke smoothy, cleanness and reduce offensive taste, irritation above moderate processing intensity.
