Research progress on bioactive components and their functional activities of Cucumaria frondosa

  • The composition, fuctional activities of bioactive components of Cucumaria frondosa were reviewed, It was pointed out that Cucumaria frondosa contained a variety of bioactive components such as lipids, polysaccharides, saponins and peptides. They had functional activities such as antitumor, immune regulation, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging. They had potential applications in functional food and nutritional health products. In the future, we could innovate the deep-processing technology of Cucumaria frondosa, strengthen the research on the functional activities and pharmacological effect of the bioactive components of Cucumaria frondosa, increase the added value of visceral and other by-products, so as to provide reference for the high-value utilization and the development of the whole industrial chain of Cucumaria frondosa.
