1. Open Access Statement
Journal of Light Industry is an open access journal. Since 2021, the journal has adopted an open access publishing model, utilizing the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license agreement. From 2021onwards, all articles published in the journal are open access works. They are immediately and permanently available for free on the official website of the journal upon publication, and users may reproduce and distribute them in accordance with the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license agreement.
In addition, articles published in the journal between 2011 and 2020 also flipped to open access works, accessible for free through the journal's official website. Users may copy and distribute these articles in accordance with the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0license agreement.
However, articles published before 2011 are not open access, which can be accessed through China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) on a paid basis.
2. Licensing Policy
Journal of Light Industry adopts the following license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows users to copy and distribute the open access articles of the journal in any medium and format, provided that the license terms below are followed:
When copying and distributing the open access articles published in the journal, users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes to the articles were made. Users may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the journal endorses the use. Users may not use the articles for commercial purposes. If users re-mix, transform, or build upon the articles, they may not distribute the modified articles. Full details of the license are available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/.
3. Copyright Policy
All authors are required to complete and sign the “Copyright Transfer Agreement & Declaration of Authors” to transfer the copyright of the article to the publisher of the journal (i.e., the Editorial Department of Journal of Light Industry). After an article is published in the journal, the copyright will belong to the Editorial Department of the journal, and the author(s) of the article will have the following right:
The author(s) may reproduce, distribute, and use the article under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, such as using it for non-commercial academic discussions, exchanges, academic reports, lectures.
If the article is ultimately not published by the journal, the Copyright Transfer Agreement shall be invalid automatically.
4. Self-archiving
Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their articles in an institutional or other repository of their choice. However, it is necessary to include the article's publication information in the metadata of the institutional or other repository and to use this as the recommended citation method.
