Numerical simulation of heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of X-shaped slit of fin

  • Heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of X-shaped slit fin were investigated by numerical simulation.At the same time,its computational results are compared with that of plain and slit fin.The results showed that JF factor of X-shaped offset fin is maximum and its performance is the best.The X-shaped slit of fin has a low wake region behind the tubes,so its performance of heat transfer and flow is improved in the wake region.
