1.Publication Scope & Basic Requirements

Our journal primarily publishes the latest scientific research results in the fields of food and bioengineering, tobacco science and engineering, as well as interdisciplinary directions serving the light industry.

Submitted manuscripts should have novel topics and exhibit innovation. Manuscripts must align with the journal's aims and scope, offer unique insights into the research issues, and comply with the writing standards of academic papers, research reports, or review articles. In terms of format, manuscripts should conform to internationally recognized standards in all aspects, such as title, abstract, keywords, figures, tables, formulas and reactions, measurements and units, numeral usage, foreign lettering, Chinese character sand punctuation, as well as references.

For manuscripts where the first author is an academician, professor, doctoral advisor, or other expert, and for those based on national-level funded research projects (with the project source and code provided), they will be prioritized for publication and generously compensated once peer-reviewed and approved. We welcome submissions on significant project reviews, research progress, specialized theoretical studies, and applied research.

2.Manuscript Writing Requirements

1) The article title should reflect the key techniques used and the main research content. It should also be accompanied by a corresponding English title.

2) The listed authors (including affiliations, with English equivalents) should be those who participated in the research and are responsible for the content. Details for the first author and corresponding author should include gender, birth year, ethnicity, place of origin, institution, title, degree, primary research direction, postal code, contact number, and email address.

3) The abstract, accompanied by an English version, is a condensed summary of the article's essential content. It should delineate the research direction and technical approach, emphasizing academic innovation. The abstract should encompass four elements: objective, method, results, and conclusions, and be approximately 300 words in length.

4) Keywords, with their English equivalents, should precisely capture the article's theme, research perspective, and distinctive features. Typically, 3-5 keywords are appropriate.

5) The manuscript should possess a clear structure, logical organization, and clear figures and tables (accompanied by English titles). Alldata should be truthful, complete, and accurate. Figures and tables should align with the article content. The Introduction section should encompass the research aim, theoretical foundation, background, significance of the issue, existing research gaps, the paper's innovation focus, technical approach, and reasons for selecting specific research methods. Experimental designs must be scientifically robust. The Results & Discussions section should offer insights into results and the rationale behind them. The Conclusions section should derive from the data or results presented in the main body, leading to systematic arguments. It should be scientific, precise, and deeply connected to the content of the paper.

6) References should be comprehensive, authoritative, and up-to-date (with a minimum of 15 references for research papers and 40 for review papers). They should be numbered consecutively within the text and collated at the end. Each reference should carry a unique number, used consistently throughout the article. The citation format should be standardized:

For journal articles, "main author. title [J]. journal name, year, volume(issue): page range.".

For books, "main author. title [M]. translator. Edition. place of publication: publisher, year of publication: cited page number".

For papers in collections, "main paper author. paper title [C]. collection title. place of publication: publisher, year of publication: paper's page range.".

3.Notes on Submission

1) The journal does not accept paper manuscripts. Please logon to our official website (http://qgxb.zzuli.edu.cn/zzqgxb/indexen.htm) to submit online. Along with the manuscript, please include a self-checklist. One month after submission, authors may inquire about the review results by email at qgxb@zzuli.edu.cn or by phone at (0371)86608635.

2) Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their manuscripts. Simultaneous submissions to multiple journals are strictly prohibited. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. If the content infringes upon the rights of other individuals or legal entities, the author will be held accountable and must compensate the journal for any damages incurred. When referencing or citing others' works, proper attribution as per the "Copyright Law" is mandatory. The copy ratio should be below 10%, and the original meaning of the cited work must not be distorted. If the manuscript involves confidential institutions or projects, an approval certificate for publication from the institution is required.

3) To meet our publication standards, the editorial department may make necessary modifications to the submitted manuscripts. If authors disagree with potential changes, they should specify this during submission.

4) Digital Distribution Statement: This journal has granted permissions for digital reproduction, compilation, distribution, and online broadcasting of its full content to platforms including China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data, Chongqing VIP, Bookan, Chaoxing, China Science and Technology Paper Online, China Education Database, 91 Reading Network, etc. By submitting an article for publication, the author agrees to the aforementioned statement.

5) The journal places a strong emphasis on academic integrity and strictly opposes any form of academic misconduct. We use the plagiarism detection system provided by China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) to conduct two rounds of similarity checks: once after submission and again after acceptance. The similarity rate must be below 10%. The journal strictly prohibits misconduct including plagiarism, falsification, fabrication, manipulation, multiple submissions, duplicate publication, etc. If any such misconduct is detected, the publication of the article will be cancelled, and the article will be removed from relevant databases to halt its distribution.

6) Data Sharing: We strongly encourage authors to publish and share their research data when appropriate. Sharing data not only aids in the replication of scientific experiments but also promotes the reuse of research findings. Commonly shared data often includes raw data, observational records, and experimental results. In addition, we encourage authors to share the software, codes, models, algorithms, protocols, methodologies, and other materials related to their research. Authors are advised to upload these materials to reputable third-party storage platforms and provide links as attachments at the end of their articles.

4.Fees

1) The journal does not charge any fees for the publication of articles.

2) Once an article is published, the author will receive a remuneration. This remuneration includes the copyright transfer fee and the fee for including the article in national and international digital publishing systems and databases that index the journal, such as CNKI, Wanfang Data, Chongqing VIP Database, Chemical Abstracts (CA) from USA, AJ VINITI from Russia, and Food Science and Technology Abstracts (FSTA) from UK. If you prefer that your work not be included in these databases, please indicate this during the submission process. In addition, authors will be gifted two hard copies of the published journal.
